TRADESMAN Deal to Dealer Early Trade Routes
A demand table, not a GPS. Hover the stall. Then drive the matching well.
Use this page as a corkboard. Town names follow English Steam copy where we have it (Grampstead, Fishpool, Grubgrog Village, Hoboken, Normingham). Community guides add mill towns, guard camps, Furryfoot, Beastborough, Bigfoot south, miner snow, cemetery north-east, and the western Wasteland. If your language pack uses joke names, match on demand tag and geography, not on the punchline.
Cargo still sets the fight. A “safe route” with four epic saws is not safe. Trading, goods tiers, combat.

Two-town oscillators that pay rent
Food → tools. Buy eggs/fish in a people-village, sell in a mill, leave with planks. Repeat until the cart upgrades. Low rarity, low ego, high reputation if you stay on-tag.
Military camp loop. Armor and ammo into a camp, food out, never mix with a taxi bench. Sponge required.
Fishpool bear fund. Seafood or industrial in, cubs out (hire, not haul as cargo). Cap the pillar when you want the roar-bear, then stop.
Capital skim. Sell whatever the capital lights up, buy nothing with a +5 rarity bump unless the squad is already late-game.
Bricks that are not routes
Beastborough is a reputation door, not a loot pinata. New Cemeteries waited through Early Access; 1.0 plus later patches filled more of that belt. Snow tunnels hide lantern moles. Do not “route” them as trade hops until the shout is bought — talents.
How to update this table yourself
- Open the stall.
- Photograph the demand row.
- Hover one item for traits.
- If the row disagrees with this page, believe the row and check updates for a ninja patch.
Official map art is the in-game M screen. The map guide explains pips, Red Flags, and bricks. Discord screenshot threads on links are faster than a wiki map that lies.
Drive light. Sell on-tag. Rest with a watch. That is the whole route craft, whether you are in Grampstead or staring at desert sand.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common merchant questions.
Where should I sell fish?
People-villages and any stall whose demand row lists civilian food. Fishpool is usually the source, not the sink.
Why can I not enter Beastborough?
Max reputation in Furryfoot Village first. It is a standing brick, not a level brick.
Is Normingham always the best price?
It is a capital sink, not a magic number. Read the demand row every visit.
Do routes work with a second player?
No. These loops are single-player only.
