TRADESMAN Deal to Dealer A Walkthrough That Respects Cargo

Plot pins, Youngfield, and the boss road — without pretending a full cart is a shortcut.

Last updated:

Story Walkthrough

This is not a numbered chest list. TRADESMAN: Deal to Dealer hides plot inside comedy dialogue and map pins. Version 1.0 (27 August 2026) added Youngfield, a story boss, and 53 Steam achievements. The 23 August ninja patch already contained that full-game chunk. If you came from Early Access, your save may still work; copy AppData\Local\Tradesman first — controls.

Hour one: Grampstead without a wipe

Do grandpa’s canopy / runaway kid / leftover grain. Sell where he points. Hire a peasant. Sleep with a watch. After the Wasteland patch, Grampstead itself will not rob you overnight — other camps still can. Full beginner loop: Getting Started.

Do not skip “talk to everyone with a bubble.” Taxi quests (drunks, children, wounded guards) pay coins and standing without filling Military wells. Go quests are walk-here jobs. Classic quests drop markers. Vague hunts exist on purpose. Catalogue: quests.

Hours two to six: a lane, then a region

  1. One demanded stack, not four novelties — trading.
  2. Watchpost humans or a boar once Animal Handling exists — squad builds.
  3. Planks / ore / tools for a cart that is not the tutorial box — carts.
  4. Leadership before you shop legendaries — talents.

Use the map so you are not guessing which brick is Furryfoot. Farm standing on-tag; the 10,000 pillar is still the unique-hire clock — reputation.

Youngfield and the boss

Official pre-release notes: the ninja patch includes “the full game (with a boss, the new Youngfield location, and new interactions in that location).” We will not invent the boss’s mechanic from a screenshot. What we can say from the studio’s own combat language:

  • It is still an auto-battler with active skills.
  • Cargo still sets the enemy budget. Thin the wells.
  • Bring a sponge and a shout if the fight borrows mole-style tricks — combat.
  • Do not first-try it with chicken peasants and four epic saws.

If the pin feels like a wall, you are under-laned, not under-leveled. Merchant XP comes from trading, not from the boss bar.

Side roads worth the detour

Silvermineham (Wasteland-era) is the practical silver source after a medium condition. Red Flag marks a spawn in a settlement so Youngfield runs have a camp. Desert pins and shepherd / pirate / fortress shots from 2026 news belong on Wasteland, not here as a spoiler dump.

Achievement names already in the wild include Bird’s Eye View and Black Scorpions. Players reported some quests completed in Early Access saves did not grant the Steam counterpart until a fresh file. Details: achievements. One playthrough can earn them in 1.0; the studio said you do not need multiple campaigns. “What a once,” they wrote, because the cart is long.

A sane finish order

Starter belt → mill cart → Furryfoot standing → a bear or paladin lane → Youngfield when the pip and the squad agree → Wasteland when you are bored of the kingdoms, not when Horse is still your only HP. Patch context: Version 1.0 and patch notes.

If a YouTuber skips sleep-saves, do not copy the bravado. The walkthrough that works is the one that still has a cart in the morning.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common merchant questions.

Do I need a new save for Youngfield?

Often no. Copy the Tradesman folder anyway. Some achievement progress from Early Access did not map onto Steam badges.

Where is the story boss?

Tied to the Youngfield location shipped in the 23 August 2026 ninja patch. Prep cargo and a real squad first.

Can I skip side quests?

You can, and you will be poorer and worse hired. Taxi jobs are the cheap XP. See quests.

Is there an official 100% time?

Community writeups ballpark thirty hours. 1.0 added more map. Trust your standing bars, not a speedrun clock.
