TRADESMAN Deal to Dealer How the Map Is Laid Out
Settlements, danger numbers, reputation bricks, and the western desert that became a real zone.
Press M. That is the whole atlas. TRADESMAN: Deal to Dealer does not give you a fancy overlay with invented coordinates. Roads between towns show a danger number: the smaller the digit, the kinder the spawn. Version 1.0 (27 August 2026) still uses that pip as the honest forecast. Cargo traits then raise it. Read this page with the trade-route table and the trading guide open, or you will treat a green name as a safe loop and fill four Military wells anyway.
How to read a road
The map is settlements plus dirt between them. Hover a town on the 1.0 build and a star can appear on demanded goods — the Wasteland patch (20 April 2026) put that icon on the map hover, not only inside the stall. If the star and the stall disagree, believe the stall when you arrive.
Danger is not a level requirement. A “1” road with legendary armor is still a parade. A “3” road with one bag of grain and a pitchfork peasant is a commute. The combat guide is the other half of this sentence.
Starter belt
Grampstead is home. Grandpa’s grain, peasants, later a pillar legendary. After the Wasteland update, sleeping here cannot rob the Tradesman — the one camp the studio made safe on purpose. Getting Started.
Nearby names the English UI repeats: Clunky Town (first grain sink), mill / saw towns for planks, Fishpool for seafood and bear cubs, Grubgrog Village for tavern freight, Hoboken for basics, Normingham as the capital sink. Guard camps sit on Military demand. Furryfoot Village is the standing key for Beastborough’s red brick.
Mid map and reputation doors
Beastborough is not a loot pin. Max Furryfoot standing, then the brick opens. River towns sell hauler bears. Bigfoot south splits a fighter hire from a hauler that wants village cap — animals and reputation.
Snow / miner belts hide lantern moles and named diggers. Cemetery and holy towns sit northeast; community writeups still warn that the first ghost encounter after Fort-style camps feels like a different game. Bring a shout. Quests.
Silvermineham is the Wasteland-era answer to “where is silver.” Official notes: you can buy silver there after a medium-difficulty condition. It is easier than the old hunt. Put it on the corkboard next to mill planks, not as a first-hour detour.
Youngfield and the 1.0 boss road
The 23 August 2026 ninja patch shipped Youngfield with new interactions and the story boss the studio had been teasing. Treat it as a 1.0 destination, not an Early Access rumour. Do not drive there on a common cart of saws. Finish a real lane — squad builds — and thin cargo. The walkthrough is the quest order; this page is only the geography.
West: Wasteland
AZAMATIKA painted a desert on the west edge. Players asked. The 20 April 2026 biome patch added locations, quests, and mercenaries, plus catch-up in old zones. Later 1.0 kept that belt in the shipped world. Details, weather, and the Red Flag spawn marker live on Wasteland and the patch notes. Do not dump four legendaries “because desert.” Sand does not cancel +5 rarity danger.
Tools that are not a fake GPS
The Red Flag (Wasteland patch) marks the Tradesman’s spawn point in a settlement. Use it when a town becomes a home camp. The HUD still uses M / I / H / S — controls.
We will not draw a fan atlas with guessed pixels. When a ninja patch renames a joke town, the in-game M screen wins, then we patch this list. Discord shots sit on links. Drive the pip, not the wiki’s pride.
